Policy Reforms for California’s Water Market Calls for More Information

All markets trade on information – which is the foundation for a set of policy recommendations recently released by the Environmental Defense Fund for reforming California’s water market to help alleviate the drought’s impact on the environment and make the state’s cities and rural communities more resilient to climate change. The policy reforms call for more market information and greater transparency to stimulate water sharing through market mechanism.
