Ryland Moore
Water Transaction Manager

Ryland Moore is the Transactions Manager for WestWater Research, LLC in its Vancouver, WA office. He focuses on water and land transactions throughout the western United States. Prior to his work with WestWater Research, Mr. Moore was a project manager for the Oregon Water Trust where he focused on water rights transactions in the Umatilla, Deschutes, Hood, Grande Ronde, and Willamette basins of Oregon. Ryland also worked with a regional utility to improve water quality in the Tualatin Basin by creating water quality credits through the use of revegetation and riparian plantings coupled with leasing and protection of associated water rights for instream flow. Mr. Moore also worked as the Managing Director of the McKenzie River Trust, in Eugene, OR, where he helped to acquire more than 2,000 acres through fee title acquisition, conservation easements, or pass-through to other entities. Mr. Moore also worked for the Jackson Hole Land Trust in Jackson, WY, the Bridger-Teton National Forest as a fisheries biologist, and for the United States Air Force at Arnold Engineering and Development Center in Tennessee as a conservation biologist. Mr. Moore graduated with a BS in Natural Resources from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee in 1998 and a Master's of Community and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon in 2001.
